The current labour legislation creates the opportunity for people with disabilities to develop their potential and abilities. The Employment Equity, Skills Development Acts, and the Skills Development Levies Bill facilitate the assimilation of people with disabilities to have the opportunity to grow and develop their skills and abilities. ASD acts as a conduit for people with disabilities, taking them from a learning environment and placing them in jobs and promoting better entrepreneurial opportunities for those who want to be self-employed.
The skills which they develop through our programs enhance their ability to cope better with the stress generated in the modern workplace.
Our Services also include
comprehensive skills development and disability inclusion services tailored to meet the needs of our clients. Our services include the procurement of learnerships for persons with disabilities, as well as end-to-end learnership management, including the recruitment and placement of learners in line with your organisation’s specific Employment Equity and skills development targets. We also offer disability awareness and sensitisation training to promote inclusive and accessible workplaces. In addition, we provide Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) consultation services and assist organisations with the preparation and submission of Workplace Skills Plans (WSPs), Annual Training Reports (ATRs) and PIV submissions to support their skills development and compliance requirements.
Benefits of Using Our Services
Our learnership programmes offer a range of benefits to employers, including comprehensive project management and reporting, support in contributing towards Employment Equity objectives and South Africa’s economic growth, and the potential to earn B-BBEE Skills Development points. Eligible employers may also qualify for learnership tax allowances, subject to applicable SARS requirements, with potential deductions of R80,000 to R120,000 per qualifying learner, depending on the circumstances. In addition, eligible employers may benefit from applicable youth employment tax incentives, where the relevant requirements are met. Through these initiatives, organisations can contribute to skills development, support unemployed youth and other vulnerable groups, and create meaningful employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
